Three scenarios are randomly effecting eBay Seller Accounts, causing lost sales. They do not have anything to do with dropshipping, as it's randomly hitting all types of accounts with different selling venues. Yet it has everything to do with eBay cleaning up their servers for more bandwidth efficiency and satisfy buyer complaints.
Scenario #1: Sales just stopped.
While eBay implemented it's first disabling ACTIVE CONTENT from listings, it appears that some listings are experiencing missing descriptions; distorted images or simply disappeared. I seems their system bot is having trouble distinguishing ACTIVE CONTENT Html Coding that distorts images in a description or removes the description completely, throwing it into never-never land and you may never know it until your sales suddenly stops. One hint is to look at your listing inventory to see if a listing has -0- views or not there at all.
Note: eBay discourages product images located in descriptions, claiming it causes slow download time or will appear distorted in Mobile Devices - and- only 1/3 of buyers take the time to read descriptions.

Scenario #2: Stale or Duplicate listings Removed without Warning.
eBay calls it part of "Spring Cleaning." We developers call it eBay saving bandwidth expense and un-cluttering their servers by random removal of listings. eBay says they are all just ended, but many sellers are unable to find as ended BEFORE they can decide if the SOLD Listings are worth relisting again, as others say the removed old listing was still selling like hotcakes.
This "unannounced" new practice comes with no warning, just a notification after removals. It seems buyers have been complaining about having to browse though too many out-dated products with old pricing. Problem for sellers is that some are still selling and eBay chooses to just remove, losing all of its sales history and ranking in search results.
BEST PRACTICE: End any and all listings older than 90 days and relist sold listings to gain higher ranking in search results, recreating a new sales history.
Scenario #3: Listings Mysteriously Disappeared from Buyer views.
If your sales suddenly just stopped there's a good chance, its being hidden from buyer viewing or just disappeared called "Block-outs!" These listings will eventually be enabled for buyer viewing again, after a brief period.
Best Practice: Revise your listings with -0- views for SEO Techniques applied in Photos, Titles, Item Specifics and Descriptions and breathe easy, it's not your fault, but more about eBay's system bot crawler control. even though coding is not considered ACTIVE CONTENT, it may not be your fault, but more about eBay's system bot crawler.
I've been posting about eBay's - new unannounced practices and system errors that has come to a shock to sellers. Some sellers are still unaware, spending hours trying to figure out why their sales just stopped.
